The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is designating Venezuela for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months, effective March 9, 2021, through September 9, 2022.
The designation of Venezuela for TPS is effective on March 9, 2021, and will remain in effect for 18 months, through Sep 9, 2022. The 180-day registration period for eligible individuals to submit TPS applications begins March 9, 2021, and will remain in effect through Sep 5, 2021.
To be eligible for TPS, you must:
- Be a national of Venezuela, or a person without nationality who last habitually resided in the designated country
- File during the open initial registration period
- Have been continuously physically present (CPP) in the United States since March 9th 2021
- Have been continuously residing (CR) in the United States since March 8th 2021
Benefits:
- During the TPS designation period, TPS beneficiaries are eligible to remain in the United States, may not be removed, and are authorized to obtain EADs so long as they continue to meet the requirements of TPS
- TPS beneficiaries may also apply for and be granted travel authorization as a matter of discretion. Upon return from such authorized travel.
- TPS beneficiaries retain the same immigration status they had before the travel.The granting of TPS does not result in or lead to lawful permanent resident status.

The cost of the appointment is $80.
The $80 appointment is a non-refundable deposit granting an interview with the consultant. In case that the customer decides to move on with the TPS for Venezuelans with Albatros Consulting, this deposit would be deducted from final price. Actual/Final price vary depending on several factors to be considered during interview.
